The braided side strands give it a much more authentic look than the cheap costume store versions. After a few hours at the party it stayed put and still looked great.

The hooks on this beard are surprisingly sturdy—stayed put through hours of grog-drinking and shanties. The brown color looks natural enough to pass for real facial hair, which made my costume way more convincing.

Wore it to a pirate party last weekend and it stayed put through three hours of singing and sword-fighting, which surprised me. The brown color blended well with my own hair, so it didn’t look like a cheap costume prop up close.
